At Glenmorangie we take our environmental responsibilities seriously and have achieved ISO 14001 status. However, rather than simply comply with minimum standards, we prefer to build on latest best practice to continually reduce our environmental footprint.
The Glenmorangie Company is committed to minimising the environmental impact of our operations wherever possible. We aim to do all that we can to prevent pollution arising from our business and to minimise our use of non-renewable resources.
We continually put new processes and practices in place to avoid, reduce and control pollutants or waste resulting from our operations. What waste we do generate is always disposed of through safe, legal and responsible means.
Where it’s not possible to reduce our environmental impact immediately, we set ourselves realistic targets for improvement and then monitor our progress towards achieving these. Our focus is long term and goes beyond solely examining our direct impact.
We also work closely with our suppliers and customers to encourage the same levels of commitment and care. Our collaborations have already made good inroads, particularly in minimising packaging and transportation waste.
The Glenmorangie Company also contributes to the development of and supports the Scotch Whisky Association’s environmental strategy. This aims to encourage good environmental practice across our industry.
