From its early beginnings, Glenmorangie has carved out a deserved reputation as a pioneer uniting traditional techniques with new innovative processes. Thanks to the unseen lengths we go to, Glenmorangie has been Scotland’s favourite malt whisky for more than 30 years.
Glenmorangie single malt Scotch whisky originates in the Scottish Highlands where, at the Glenmorangie Distillery, it is distilled in the tallest whisky stills in Scotland, expertly matured in the finest oak casks, and perfected by the famed 'Men of Tain'. The Distillery was founded in 1843 and is renowned as a pioneer in its field uniting tradition with innovation to create ‘unnecessarily well made whiskies.’
Glenmorangie has won a remarkable total of 20 Gold 'Best in Class' and 'Gold Outstanding' medals over the past six years at the IWSC - the most recognised international awards body in wines and spirits. This is more than any other single malt Scotch whisky, making Glenmorangie the ‘best awarded’ of any single malt. The crowning moment came in 2012 when The Glenmorangie Company was named 'Distiller of the Year', topping all other distilleries in all other categories and in all continents of the world.
